In the past we have had some users who let their Inboxes rise to 4000+ emails!! We count the items to make suer everyone is managing their emails properly.

I thought this had to do with offline caching so I logged into my Inbox via OWA and the same 191 items are displayed. However, the numbers produced by the cmdlet are slightly out from what is displayed in Outlook or OWA Inboxes.įor example the exported report shows that I have 224 mail items in my Inbox, but when I look at Outlook it says 191. It returned, not only the number of items (open & unopened) in all users's Inboxes, but also whether they had nested folders inside their Inboxes (which I advise them not to do).
